Zikr — Privacy & Account Rules

English / Русский • Last updated: 2026-08-27

Overview

Zikr is a bilingual prayer & dhikr app designed to help you keep a consistent routine: accurate prayer times, scheduled Azan reminders, dhikr/tasbih counters, habits and analytics. This page explains what data the app uses, how it is stored, how to request deletion, and the rules we follow to protect your privacy.

Data we collect

  • Optional account info (only if you sign-in): Google account email and display name — stored to enable cross-device sync and restore (explicit opt-in).
  • Local app data (stored on your device): prayer_records, prayer_history, tiki/planned times, dhikr counts, tasbih list, habits, custom_times — saved locally using secure app storage (SharedPreferences / local files).
  • Optional location: only if you enable location-based prayer times. The app will send approximate location (city) to a third-party prayer times API (e.g., AlAdhan) after asking for permission.
  • Payments: purchases are processed by Google Play — we do not collect card details. Purchase receipts may be used to unlock Premium features and are processed by Google Play.
  • Diagnostics / crash reports: anonymous crash/usage data only when enabled to help improve the app.

How we use data

Data is used to provide app features: schedule local notifications, compute and display prayer times, store your dhikr and habits, and, if you opted in, synchronize data across devices. We do not use collected data for advertising or sell personal data to third parties.

Third parties & SDKs

The app integrates with or may use the following services:

  • Google Play Billing (payments)
  • Firebase / Google Sign-In (optional auth & sync)
  • AlAdhan or similar prayer times API (optional)
  • flutter_local_notifications and tz (local scheduling)

These third parties have their own privacy practices. We only send data to them when necessary and when you consent (e.g., enabling sync sends data to Firebase associated with your account).

Data retention

Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data. If you enable account sync, synchronized data remains until you request deletion. Purchase records are kept as required by Google Play policies.

Subscriptions & Billing

Zikr offers Premium access via a subscription (managed through Google Play Billing). Subscription features (unlimited habits, extra tasbih slots, advanced analytics) are unlocked after purchase. Typical offers may include a free trial period (for example: 1 month free) — the trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions purchased via Google Play auto-renew by default. To avoid future charges, cancel before the next billing date. Cancelling a subscription will stop future renewals but your Premium access usually remains active until the end of the current paid period.

How to cancel (Google Play)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your device.
  2. Tap your profile icon (top-right) → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  3. Find "Zikr" in the list and tap it → Cancel subscription → follow the prompts.

Google's official help page for managing subscriptions: Manage subscriptions on Google Play.

Restore purchases & support

If you reinstall the app or install on another device with the same Google account, use the app's "Restore purchases" button (Profile → Restore purchases) or sign in with the same Google account and the app will restore entitlements. If restore fails, contact support: or .

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play. If you need a refund, request it through Google Play Help: Request a refund from Google Play. We may assist with information about your purchase if needed.

Your rights

You control your data. Options include:

  • Disable or sign out of account sync at any time in Profile > Account.
  • Export / Backup your records (if Export implemented in app).
  • Request deletion of your synchronized data (see below).

Delete account & data (how to)

To delete your synchronized account data (data stored in cloud via Google / Firebase) use one of these methods:

  1. In-app: Profile / Account > Delete account (if available). This will remove synced data associated with your Google account.
  2. Email the support team requesting deletion. Send from the email that you used with the app and include the subject line exactly as shown below.

Display modes — Day & Night

This page supports a Day (light) and Night (dark) viewing mode for comfortable reading on different screens. Use the top "Day / Night" control to switch. The app also supports light/dark themes for its UI — ensure readability when using dim screens (tungi chiroq mode) or bright daylight (kunduzgi chiroq mode).
